BSc, MPsych (ClinNeuro), PhD
Registered psychologist (clinical neuropsychology registrar)

AHPRA Registration: PSY0002401198

I am a registered psychologist with a PhD in the neuropsychology of problematic screen use. My practice is dedicated specifically to children, adolescents, adults, and families presenting with problematic gaming, social media, and digital technology use, and the mental health, behavioural, and family functioning issues that accompany them.

My approach is evidence-informed, drawing on motivational frameworks, with structured parent components for work involving children and younger adolescents.

Who I see

SERVICES

I see children, adolescents, adults, and families. For clients under 18, a parent or guardian must be involved in the referral and ongoing treatment.

Screen & digital overuse

Specialised support for children, teens, and adults where gaming or online activity has become a serious problem affecting sleep, school, relationships, or work.

Sessions may include direct work with your child alongside parent guidance and strategy development, addressing emotional regulation, routines, screen boundaries, and the underlying needs that screen use is meeting, as well as building insight, routines, and practical strategies that actually stick.

Common referral presentations include:

  • Excessive gaming, social media, or device use affecting sleep, school, mood, or family functioning

  • Compulsive online behaviour in adolescents and adults

  • Family conflict around device limits and access

  • Screen-related anxiety, withdrawal, or behavioural escalation

  • Attention, motivation, or executive function difficulties linked to digital habits

  • Parent consultation for assessment and structured intervention

FAQ's

Do I need a GP referral to book?

No GP referral is required. Self-referrals and parent/guardian referrals are welcome. If you do have a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP, this can be used where appropriate.

What are your fees?

Session (50 min) $230

MHCP rebate ~$98.95

Out-of-pocket gap ~$131.35

Rebates apply with a valid Mental Health Care Plan.

Is telehealth available?

Yes, telehealth appointments are available for eligible clients. This will be discussed as part of the initial referral and intake process.

What age groups do you see?

I work with children, adolescents, and adults. For clients under 18, a parent or guardian must provide consent and be involved in the referral process.

What concerns are appropriate for referral?

Referrals should relate specifically to screen use, gaming, social media, or digital behaviour concerns and their psychological impacts, including effects on emotion regulation, relationships, school, or work. This service does not replace general psychology or emergency services.

What is your confidentiality policy?

All information is kept confidential in accordance with professional and legal obligations. Limits to confidentiality apply in situations involving serious risk of harm to yourself or others, or mandatory reporting obligations (e.g. child safety concerns).
